VTB Bank exec: Central bank may raise key rate above 6% in 2021

MOSCOW, Jun 29 (PRIME) -- The central bank may raise its key rate to 6% or even higher in 2021, Dmitry Pyanov, member of the management board of the country’s second largest bank VTB, said in a conference on Tuesday.

“I don’t rule out that the rate may reach 6% or even higher at the end of this year,” he said.

The regulator has raised the key rate by 1.25 percentage points to 5.5% since the beginning of March.
